I am also enjoying the entry Love?. Can I change the title to Love!....? Let's face it. It just feels good to be loved at any given time, place, and by any person.
I just thought I would make a comment on the comment being made on behalf of all the wonderful love comments (: Plus I thought that this entry looked a little comment lonely.

Joette - Often we do not recognize that people love us and then we may feel nothing, or lonely. Perhaps it is the recognition and acceptance of love that feels good. But even then, it can turn to heartache when we have not adequately returned it.

I would have to disagree with Joette. Being loved by the wrong person can be awkward and uncomfortable at times!!

First off, I would like to comment on Joette's statement... love does not always feel good. Let's face it.. foget the flowery junk.. love is hard, stressful, and time consuming! And if they do not love you in return, it leaves you empty and hurt! Yes, it feels good to know you are loved, but if it is by someone you can't stand... that is not a good feeling, more like aggrivation! But on the other hand, if the love is a mutual feeling.. it is a glorious feeling!
Now as to your comment on the Hollywood love... I believe it is true; the movies display love as perfect, that everything is like a fairytale! But in reality, love is nothing like that! It is a real shocker to those people who have a courtship that is like a fairytale... only to get married and realize "Gosh this stinks!" It isn't like what they display on TV... it takes work, or as you called it, a struggle! But that should not stop us from loving! Even though it may not be perfect, when you do find that special person who loves you in return... love gives you wings! And in the times of trouble and tribulation throughout life... you have a best friend there to hold your hand and see you through it. Not a perfect handsome prince or sexy super model that will give your body and mind a whirl... a BEST FRIEND that will love you and be there for you!

So long as we're talking about different kinds of love: what do y'all, especially parents, think about "tough love?" What is it? And is it Christ-like?

ok...hold on a second...let us first back this love train up. It is interesting to me already how the word love means something different to everyone. When I stated that it just feels good to be loved I was referring to a number of different feelings all mixed together. Maybe I should have said that it feels good to be admired at any given time, place, or person or maybe I should have said that it feels good to be noticed or given a compliment. To me all these notions shout love. They all shout, "I love this person and so therefore I am going to do this...and this...and this.." "I'm going to make this person feel good about themselves...I'm going to leave this person a little better then I found them" To me, this is the best kind of love.

Joette, you rock the love train!
Although I must say, I still don't like being admired, noticed, or complimented by weird, creepy guys...

True love is for the beautiful and the blind.
